While working with complex PKI environments, cross certificate pairs are useful to path building software when establishing relationships between bridged architectures. However, creating cross certificate pairs can be an awkward process when deploying directory solutions, whether for testing or production purposes. CrossCert is a command line tool that can either quickly create cross certificate pairs to place in LDAP directories or break down cross certificate pairs so the individual CA certificates may be imported into other certificate stores.
