Peter M. Hesse

President and Founder

Peter M. Hesse is the founder and president of Gemini Security Solutions. Peter is an accomplished authority and integrator of complex information security systems including certificate path development algorithms, demonstrations of PKI interoperability, and the development of multiple certificate authorities. Peter is also the editor and co-author of RFC 4158 on certification path building. Peter founded Gemini Security Solutions in 2001 in order to provide an independent and impartial source for information security consulting that was not tied to a specific product or service offering. Peter is hands-on all the way and is personally dedicated to the satisfaction of customers and the excellence of each client program or solution developed by his team.

Laura Raderman, CISSP, SCSA, SCNA

Director of Security Assessments

Laura Raderman specializes in network and host security and has a strong background in security consulting, Laura brings solid experience performing network security audits (including penetration testing), as well as teaching the fundamentals of network security to her clients and coworkers. Laura also has experience validating and qualifying systems and software for use in an FDA 21 CFR Part 11 validated environment. Laura is an accomplished UNIX system administrator, and an active member of dc.sage and linuxchix.

Walt Turnes, SCJP, SCJD

Senior Security Engineer

Walt Turnes is Gemini Security Solutions’ senior programming guru. With experience in a number of languages and systems, Walt ensures that software products will work efficiently, effectively, securely, and according to the customer’s requirements. Walt is primarily a development manager of .NET, Java, and C++ projects, but his experience developing enterprise-class applications spans a number of other languages and environments. In his spare time, Mr. Turnes dominates the office foosball league, occasionally winning matches using only one hand.

Brenda LaDuke

Senior Security Analyst

Brenda LaDuke is a skilled analyst in the areas of security and records and information management policy and training. She provides support for a variety of projects at Gemini including security assessments, secure configuration management, and communications.

Nick Staples

Security Engineer

Nick Staples is a skilled developer and technical writer who is able to use his knowledge of computer security, database management systems, and programming languages to build applications as well as compose and maintain documentation, reviews, and guides.

Mike Markiewicz

Security Engineer

Mike Markiewicz concentrates on Microsoft .NET and Perl projects for Gemini Security Solutions, having spent many years studying various software languages and technologies.

Tim Donaworth

Security Engineer

Tim Donaworth is primarily a Microsoft & .NET developer, but can be considered a ‘Renaissance Man’ of the digital age.

Joey Tyson

Security Engineer

Joey Tyson is known in the security community as theharmonyguy, and is widely known for uncovering and helping to fix security issues with Facebook and other social networking sites. He previously worked as an IT consultant and studied mathematics at Wake Forest University prior to joining the team.

Anne Himes

Office Manager

Anne Himes has the unlucky task of having to keep control of the above cast of characters. Anne’s background is in Computer Science and Education, and she helps make sure we do the things that keep Gemini running–even if they aren’t our favorite activities.

Eric Morinaga

Security Engineer

Eric Morinaga is a multidisciplinary analyst and developer with a computer science background and seasoned technical writing expertise. He has experience in a number of programming languages, but primarily focuses on Java, C++, and .NET projects, as well as technical assessments and documentation.
